JAMES MACKAY | SAXOPHONE

James is a Sydney based session saxophonist and performer with a bold, modern sound.

 

He has recorded for Universal Australia and SONY Music Australia, working with artists such as Jessica Mauboy, Nathaniel, Ms Murphy, Kim Churchill, and producer Darryl Beaton. He was the tenor saxophonist for the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour.

He is one of Sydney’s most sought after session musicians having established himself as a versatile section player and soloist in all styles from pop to rock, R&B and jazz.

 

James performs with and writes for a range of Sydney  based bands that perform regularly around the country.

 

He is a vibrant and natural performer on stage and is experienced in large scale concerts and television broadcasting, such as the ARIAs.
