GEMMA LYON

SSJ’s lead singer & front woman Gemma Lyon is a Sydney based session & corporate vocalist whose performances are a culmination of a dynamic sound fused by a blend of soul and RnB, compelling dance moves, an edgy fashion sense and a brave untamed energy.

In 2018 Gemma was invited to be a judge on Channel 7’s ‘All Together Now’ as part of the 100 panel with Ronan Keating.

Other television appearances include ‘The Logie Awards’, ‘Sunrise’, and ‘The Voice’ where she was hand picked & mentored by Grammy winning superstar Kelly Roland after memorably performing the Destiny’s Child anthem ‘Say My Name’ and later performing a duet with her.


Gemma has toured internationally with an array of acts; she has opened for 112 during their Australian tour, and has worked as a backing vocalist for Jessica Mauboy,  Nathaniel,  Eurovision runner up Dami Im, winner of Australian Idol Royston Noel, and with vocal powerhouse winner of the voice Diana Rouvas.

Theatrically Gemma can be seen regularly in her element at the illustrious Crystal Boudoir Cabaret & Burlesque Show in Sydney. Also, in her shows ‘Moments of Motown’ and cabaret series ‘Decades in the dark’.

As a recording artist Gemma’s vocals and song writing abilities have been leant to multiple producers and artists across the globe with one of her tracks hitting over 2 million plays on Spotify and over 1 million and climbing on youtube. 

Her years of experience on stage have lead to an array of international performances throughout Asia and across through Europe, and her vocal group, Reign of Choir has lent itself to many a recording, live event and concert across Australia.

Additionally, Gemma works as a stylist and has lent her talents to many striking projects and ad campaigns.

Notably she was the co-host on the LIVE variety podcast “Culture Pop Live” streaming weekly from Studios 301.

With her commanding stage presence, undeniable styling and powerful vocals, Gemma Lyon is a force to be reckoned with.
