S C H O O L   S H O W S :

SSJ proudly maintain a history of trusted musical education, with core members holding multiple degrees in arts and teaching. The band has visited school groups on a number of occasions, communicating their passion and knowledge through:

  • performing live for the students
  • playing requests where possible and relevant
  • discussing and demonstrating various musical concepts/techniques
  • involving students in the live performance on various instruments
  • demonstrating the use of technology in modern music making
  • answering questions on various related topics

We believe the most influential and effective music education comes as a result of communicating essential artistic knowledge and practice through the use of the most relevant and appropriate musical content.

SSJ continues to stay on the cutting-edge of musical innovation, by using the most recent technology and practise in our musical performance, and playing a constantly revised repertoire.

Our tools and capability as educators and performers have equipped us to be some of the most effective teachers of music in the industry. Consider the profound effect our School Show program can have on your cohort of young creatives.

As certified and experienced tertiary educators, SSJ have facilitated a number of masterclasses at higher education facilities. Both our instrumentalists and vocalists have been involved in these featured lectures, performing relevant musical material in large and small groups.

They have spoken at length on specific performative and artistic practice, correct technique, professional conduct and practice within the industry, advanced musical theory and other specific topics.

Our core collective of musicians are highly respected practitioners in the Australian industry, and can provide invaluable perspective and experience to creatives and artistic intellectuals from all walks of life.
