One of Sydney’s most exquisite vocalists, Veena Rao commands every stage she steps on. With a rich history of stylistic mastery, her depth of expression and vocal agility are phenomenal strengths in her performances.
 
Veena spent two years in the UK, performing alongside artists such as Roachford, Basement Jaxx and Soul II Soul, recording vocal sessions and appearing on the TV show ‘Misfits’, touring with the Motown Revue show and performing as a soloist with acclaimed London-based choir Urban Voices Collective.
 
Since then she has worked as a lead singer with Motown outfit The Starlettes, sung with artists such as Dami Im and Lionel Cole to name a few. She spent a year as a soloist with gospel choir Cafe Of the Gate Of Salvation, was featured vocalist for acclaimed acid jazz outfit DIG.
 
In most recent times, Veena has spent extensive time as lead singer of Sydney R&B band Live Vibes, touring the South Pacific and New Caledonia with Carnival Cruises and is a founding and integral member of the SSJ vocal group working at live events and at their Brunch With Soul sessions.
 
With weekly residencies and performances all over the city of Sydney, Veena continues to enchant and delight audiences with her incredible vocal prowess.
